Elementary School Teachers' Experiences of Implementing the Teacher Classroom Management Method - Case Study in Finland

The diversity of pupils and their different difficulties challenge teachers' skills methods in teaching. Some behavioral challenges require rapid intervention a multidisciplinary interdisciplinary approach from the teachers. An internationally recognized tool, TCM (Teacher Classroom Management), aims to support pupils' socio-emotional development, improve teacher-pupil interaction, strengthen school-home cooperation. This pilot study examines experiences Finnish primary school context. is qualitative, data (N=16) was collected through focus group interviews. According results, teacher's strengthened management were positively reflected classroom. Teachers´ positive communication with class interaction made it easier deal difficult issues. However, implementing community requires ongoing support. Collegial renewed own experience coping at work. method provided appropriate tools.
